The owners of Gateway Plumbing & Heating, brothers David and John Cataneo, have followed in their father's footsteps by obtaining New York City Master Plumber's licenses. In addition, David carries a New Jersey Plumber's License and a New York Fire Suppression License, while John is a DEP Certified Backflow Device Testing Technician and also holds numerous Authorized Installation/Service Technician certificates for specific products by manufacturers such as Burnham, Triangle Tube, Uponor, and Tekmar.

The staff at Gateway is constantly involved in ongoing training programs, both in-house and at 3rd party training facilities. Most have gone through 5-year apprenticeship programs, and all employees are screened and evaluated by the owners throughout every project.
